Hi there! I am Tero Lundstedt, a 39-year-old Doctor of Laws whose job is literally doing societal and political thinking as the content director of Think Tank Libera.
I am a candidate for the 2025 Municipal Elections from the National Coalition Party, as I want to help to build a more successful and prosperous capital city.

My election themes
🏙️ Vigorous capital city must have a lively center – with more people living in it. Helsinki needs more free construction in the expanding core city center, as well as reduced legislation over the city´s building plans.
🚃 Prosperous Helsinki needs its central places to be accessible from all over the city easily and cost-effectively – 24 hours a day. I am proposing that we bring back the tram ticket (erroneously abolished in 2019) and that we start taking steps to have the metro run 24 hours a day, just like in other metropoles of Europe.
💰 Ambitiously growing Helsinki can attract talent via reducing taxation – it is important to recognize that cities compete internationally as well as nationally over skilled workers. We need to reduce the Helsinki city tax (currently 5,3%) to a more attractive level, which will make living in the capital more possible also for peoples and families with smaller incomes and pensioners.
Why I would make a good city councillor
Due to my work as the content director of a think tank, I have years of experience of coming up with solutions to political problems on multiple fronts. As a LL.D, I will bring to the city council a liberal approach to political issues and I pledge in all my work to advance personal freedoms and responsibilites of the inhabitants of our great city.
Tero who?
I was born in Kallio (Sörnäinen), but after a childhood in Hyvinkää I returned back to Helsinki. After having lived all over Helsinki (Etu-Töölö, Kamppi, Kumpula, Pukinmäki and Kruununhaka) I have found home in my beloved Punavuori. Here, in the most built-up (in terms of persons per square kilometer) area of the entire Finland there are numerous services but balanced out with nice parks. I also spend a lot of time in Pakila and I think it is very important that Helsinki has both densily populated urban areas such as Punavuori and locations that have mainly small houses and nature, such as Pakila. Helsinki is and should be full of positively unique neighborhoods.
